Six reasons to enter the Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park open call for 2027
The Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park’s 2027 Open call is open for entry now.
They are looking for creatives to take part in their 2027 ‘Sculptures in the Landscape’ exhibition, set alongside the permanent collection of 90 mixed media pieces, to enhance the landscape and inspire and challenge audiences of all ages when visiting the 45-acre award winning garden and parkland in North Yorkshire.
Now that the 2026 season is at a close, the numbers are in, and they provide a compelling list of reasons for any sculptor to enter.

ONE: You will be in interesting company
In 2026, the sculptures on show came from local artists as well as those from as far away as Hong Kong, America, Spain and Armenia. This year the company included Michael Lyons who had nine pieces from his collection on display.

TWO: The number of visitors that will see your work
Over 20,000 people have visited the garden to see the sculptures in the 2026 season.

THREE: Your work gets its perfect placement
In an award winning garden and parkland which spans over 45 acres, there are plenty of beautiful places to show sculptures in a way that enhances both the piece and the landscape around them. In 2026, each of the 100 pieces on display were placed to maximum effect.

FOUR: Excellent sales
In 2026, 28 artists sold work totalling £81,405. In total, 91 pieces were sold, some of the sales from editions. Sales prices ranged from the few hundred up to £10,000. This is an increase on the 2025 number of £45,885.

FIVE: No commission
Unlike other venues, The Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park charges zero commission on sales. Your sales price is all yours.

SIX: Ongoing online presence
Once the season is finished, all sculptures and artists’ bios are added to the garden’s app on the global arts platform ‘Bloomberg Connects’ and will stay there in the archives section. All future exhibitions will be added to this app.
